The short version
The AutoYear software collects nothing. It runs inside your own website, reads the current date from your visitor’s browser, updates the year, and sends no data anywhere — no analytics, no phone-home, no cookies of its own.
1. Data the product processes
None. The plugin and snippet operate entirely client-side in the browser of your site’s visitors. They make no network requests to us and store no data.
2. Data this website processes
- Language preference: your chosen language is stored locally in your own browser (
localStorage) so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device. - Country detection: to show region-relevant payment options, the page asks the hosting network (Cloudflare) which country your connection appears to be from. Only the two-letter country code is used, in your browser; we don’t store it.
- Hosting logs: our host (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data (IP address, request time) to serve and protect the site, per Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
3. When you buy
Checkout and payment are handled by our payment processor (Merchant of Record). They collect the data needed to process your payment, calculate tax, and issue your invoice, under their own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver the files and provide support — that’s all we use them for. We never see your card number.
4. When you email us
We keep support emails so we can help you and honor the money-back guarantee. We don’t add you to a newsletter and we don’t share your address with anyone.
5. Done-for-you installations
If you buy the installation service, we use the temporary access you grant only to install and verify AutoYear. We don’t copy, store, or process any data from your website, and we recommend revoking our access immediately after we confirm the fix.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, LFPDPPP in Mexico, state laws in the US), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold (in practice: your order email and support correspondence). Email us and we’ll take care of it.
